My Week of Mindful Spending
Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 14 we are talking about an exercise I put myself through the last week. We are talking about my week of mindful spending. Since the last episode, I have been tracking my spending and I am sharing everything today with you- exactly what I spent, exactly what I bought, what I impulsively wanted to buy but held off on- all of it. This was a really eye opening and helpful exercise for me and I’m excited to get a little vulnerable and honest about a kind of taboo topic, at least taboo for me: money!
Today we are going to talk about:
+ My money memory lane: what I remember about myself growing up when it came to money, my money habits, and my money beliefs/priorities
+ Then we will go over my week of mindful spending- I’m sharing what I bought, what I spent, and what I impulsively wanted to buy but held off on
+ And lastly, we are going to talk about money mantras and lessons learned

21. Taste Test: Weird Food Combos & Empties
53:04||Ep. 21Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 21, we are doing our monthly taste test, where I taste test something fun! I saw a social media trend going around of "weird" food combinations. Not in the sense of unusual food concoctions like pickles and peanut butter, more so ingredients paired together that trick your brain into thinking they are something they are not. I’ve also got a fun topic paired with the taste test today, I’m calling it EMPTIES. We are going to go over recent home, food and beauty products I finished and if I would repurchase them or not. A fun, simple, relaxing episode.+++MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE:Halloween marketJoe Spencer dollsWeird food combos inspired by Social SamiEpisode 5- Taste Test: TJ’s items and My TJ's CareerEpisode 6- How I Clean My HouseEpisode 10- Aging, Beauty and Shower GelMany products mentioned, both that I'd repurchase and not repurchase! 20. My Year of Sobriety
37:37||Ep. 20Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 20, we are talking about a milestone- in just a few days, I am hitting my one year mark of sobriety. For almost 365 days, I have been saying no to drinking alcohol and I have some experiences, thoughts and feelings to share! I really don’t have advice or tips, as I am so not an expert on this, so today’s episode will just be story time! I’ll explore what started out as sober curiosity and turned into bigger realizations about myself. Today we are going to cover:-Memory lane: what did my drinking past look like?-What happened, what changed, what’s next?-Sobriety bingo- what’s on the card you may ask?- firsts, lasts, and things I’ll never miss again!+++MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE:Bereavement: Studies of Grief in Adult Life (also available online in the newer edition)Trader Joe's frozen toaster wafflesTaste Test: H-Mart & Hot TakesCroissant breadTrader Joe's Vanilla SugarFruit RiotUchi
Family News; New Episode on 9/17
03:05|Hi, thanks for tuning into Bedtime Snack. Rachel here, and today is actually not a full episode, rather a quick check in and to share some family news. With much sadness, I wanted to share that my dear cousin Danna and her two young sons tragically lost their lives in a devastating plane accident. Her husband Craig lived through the crash initially but has since passed away. They are survived by their two older, teenage children. There are no words for what these two kids are facing. They’ve lost their mom, their dad, and their two little brothers.I’m taking the week to be with family, attend services, and grieve this unimaginable loss with them. I appreciate the time to take a little break. Next week, on Thursday the 17th, there will be a fresh episode for you, all about my hitting a year of sobriety.Until then, I will really try to remember to take a breath, take care and unclench my jaw. Those things seem so little compared to the tragedy life can throw at you, but they, along with love and support and community, really can do a lot during a difficult moment. Thanks for keeping my family in your thoughts. I’ll miss you, and I’ll be right back.

01:09:44||Ep. 16Hi! Thanks for tuning in! Today on episode 16 (which by the way is my favorite and lucky number), we are talking about the 90s, baby. Today we are going to cover:-My favorite 90s trends, favorite pop culture moments and favorite personal memories of the 1990s.-A tiered list: Top 3 best 90s movies, top 3 90s cartoons, and top 3 songs of the 90s-And last, If my childhood was a 90s sitcom, what would the show be called?
