Becoming Fietser is hosted by Sarah Frumento, a go-by-bike convert and electric cargobike enthusiast. Sarah was inspired to change her transportation habits from driving everywhere to living car-light by what she saw other people doing and sharing online. Fietser is a Dutch term used to describe the type of cyclist who uses their bike for ordinary errands (rather than for recreation). On the Becoming Fietser show, we will introduce listeners to people who are using their bicycles (or tricycles) for their everyday transportation needs. We’ll find out how and why they became fietsers and learn the tips and strategies they’ve adopted to make it easier to go-by-bike as their primary mode of transportation.
