BE MY NEIGHBOR EP. 26: Exhale to Inhale with Zoë LePage

Ep. 26

This episode brought us back to why we wanted to start Be My Neighbor in the first place. At times it left us speechless, which y’all know never happens. We had been wanting to sit down with Zoë LePage for a while and so glad we finally had her to the apartment.

Zoë is an extraordinary women that serves as the founder and executive director of Exhale to Inhale, a non-profit that brings the healing power of yoga to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, especially those who could benefit from the practice, yet might not otherwise have access to it.  She started the non-profit when she was 23 years old and kept it going in tandem with her grueling consulting job.

Domestic and sexual violence is not just something that happens to others. With 1 in 3 women in the United States, and 1 in 7 men being survivors of this type of violence, it’s trauma has likely impacted your sister, your daughter, your mother, and/or someone else you love.

From speaking through the personal growing pains of starting a non-profit and shifting her career to head up Exhale to Inhale full time, the benefits of yoga for trauma, to how you can seek help or contribute to the organization, this episode served as a reminder of how grateful and thankful we are to have the ability to impart our voices upon y’all. To contribute to the importance of giving back and serving others, our cups are full. Happy Thanksgiving y’all.
