Viz has launched a new program to help aspiring mangaka around the globe jump into the spotlight that has always been centered around just Japan. Viz Originals One-Shots (not an entirely creative name, but gets right to the point) is aimed at showcasing new manga creators from around the world on the Viz platform. Creating a stage this large can only spell good things for the manga world, but avoiding the mistakes that Tokyopop made when they attempted this same feat will be a challenge as well.
