Back to Barefoot with Sheri Pringle
Balanced, Blunt and Barefoot
Welcome! I’m Sheri Pringle and this is the Back to Barefoot podcast. I hope you’re ready for some candid conversations, a passion for learning, and an unfiltered laugh on life.
I’m a mental health professional, a former skater, a retired coach, a gardener, and an entrepreneur and I’m here to talk about, well… some things we don’t always like to talk about! Topics like menopause, mental health, aging, and addiction might seem a little intimidating, but I want us to figure them out together.
Have you ever stopped on an Instagram post and thought, “Damn, that bitch is living her best life!”? Well hey, me too! But we all know that behind every fabulous shot on social media, there’s a private story. I want to explore the flipside and learn how we can find that balance.
Today, you’ll hear a little bit about me, my background, my love of bare feet, and my hopes, dreams, and plans for this show.
Tune in and listen to the first episode of Back to Barefoot. I hope you’ll join me on my search for truth, balance and knowledge. I think we’re going to have a lot of fun and I hope that maybe we can use this podcast as an opportunity to help each other find that balance and learn together.
In This Episode, You Will Learn:
- A quick explanation of the show’s title and why bare feet are important to me (01:36)
- Some background on me, my past, and what makes me tick (02:35)
- The whole idea and goal behind starting this podcast (07:29)
- Some topics you can look forward to hearing on future episodes (08:31)

5. Lower Your F*$^*% Expectations
20:27||Season 2, Ep. 5This one lands a little different as it is just me. Join me as I recap my experience talking about expectations at the recent speaking event at Amante Talks in Kelowna. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to speak alongside these powerhouses (Francesca, Pam, Crystal and Amy), but I was honestly shitting my pants that maybe this topic wouldn't land. Take a listen to see what happened, and also get a similar version of the content, which I feel is really important.Enjoy!Follow me at sheri_pringle on Instagram or check out my website at sheripringle.comWhile you are at it, check out amante.talks.podcast on Instagram to stay tuned for the next opportunity to come see this fabulous event.4. Jenalee's Journey- Addiction to Sobriety and Everything in Between
34:28||Season 2, Ep. 4WOW! I cannot say enough about Jenalee Perepolkin. Jenalee and I met on Instagram actually, though a mutual friend. It became evident quickly that we had a lot in common and we became fast friends. I cannot express how grateful I am for Jenalee sharing her story with me. I know she was a bit nervous going into the podcast, but she totally rocked it and was SOOO vulnerable. Be sure to take a listen as Jenalee shares about addiction, sobriety, parenting, her work and so much more! This girl is a true bombshell. You can check out her instagram @jlee02. It has been such an honour to watch her journey. Kennedy was not the easiest teen for sure, but wow has she ever become a successful business owner, as well as just an awesome human. We talk about her times as a teen, struggling with anxiety, going back to school, building her business, sobriety... all the things! She is a true example of how someone can completely turn things around when they put their mind to it! if interested check out her websitewww.kennsthetics.caPodcast edited and mixed by Sean Scallion at Dragonfly Sound.2. Aging Gracefully... is it possible?
37:30||Season 2, Ep. 2I had the honour to sit down with Dr. Leslie Roberts, who has been a mentor, a friend, and educator and a pure joy to be around. We laugh, we cry... what more could you ask for. The lovely Dr. Leslie Roberts has been the little voice in my head for as long as I can remember... pushing me to be all I can and want to be. Her passion for health and wellness is top notch. In this episode we talk about a number of things, but the key one is aging gracefully. We chat about how to age gracefully ourselves as well as touching on how to handle things when those around us start to show their older years. You gotta listen to this one! It's full of great information and is nothing but candid thoughts when discussing aging.Be sure to check out Dr. Leslie Roberts website at drleslieroberts.comPodcast edited and mixed by Sean Scallion at Dragonfly Sound1. 22:13||Ep. 2I have known this girl for a few years now, and not sure how she manages it all! Take a listen for a candid view on balancing work and kids... while hearing some funny stories too! Stefania is not only a friend but a colleague and an entrepreneur just looking to figure it all out. She works at a couple of the businesses I manage, while also doing photography on the side and managing 2 pretty active young men. There is nothing better than pulling up to Stef's house unannounced and witnessing (or hearing) a day in the life at the Bowler household. I am tired just thinking about it! I am sure many of you moms can relate... hope you enjoy the show.
