London Homicides Drop to Decade Low

Londons homicide rate hits record low in 2025, with 97 killings, down 11% from the previous year. This marks the lowest number in over a decade and a significant drop from the 109 homicides in 2024. The citys homicide rate per capita also reached a record low of 1.1 per 100,000 people, surpassing New York, Berlin, and Paris. Across England and Wales, homicides decreased by 6% to 518, the lowest since 2003. The Metropolitan Police attribute this success to relentless efforts, such as increased arrests and targeting gangs and predators. Youth violence has also plummeted, with the fewest victims under 25 this century and teenage deaths down 73% from 30 in 2021 to just 8 last year. Despite these achievements, a recent review found vetting failures during a hiring push allowed some bad actors to slip through. Checkout Solipillow.com
