The Repack, Week 9: Sloppy Packers lose to Lions 24-14
46:48|The Green Bay Packers lost to the Detroit Lions 24-14 on Sunday afternoon in a sloppy game - in more ways than one. Green Bay's self-inflicted wounds brought out a metaphor that Tex Western used earlier this season, as the combination of penalties, drops, and generally ugliness cost the team a chance to knock off the division leaders. Were the Lions truly beatable in this game? Special guest Justis Mosqueda doesn't really think so, but we'll never know because of all of the Packers' mistakes. At least now the team has a chance to avoid the "post-Lions curse," with a bye week coming up.The UnPack: Josh Jacobs is good at football
47:38|Alex, Zach, and Nick talk takeaways from the Packers 30-27 win over the Jaguars before looking ahead to the Lions.Reporting as Eligible - Tank After Tank
01:22:02|On a brand new Reporting as Eligible, Matt, JR, and Paul make fun of the Bears before heaping praise on Malik Willis yet again, while also worrying about Jordan Love, who has just been OK so far this year. The defense also missed a bunch of tackles and suffered a sobering loss of Evan Williams. Jaire Alexander also might miss time going forward, and Eric Stokes is hurt. Who is going to cover Detroit receivers exactly? Plus Rashan Gary dancing, the return of the X-Man, Tucker Kraft as the new George Kittle, and a punter who is better than our punter. Plus, of course, listener questions! The Repack, Week 8: Packers win another nailbiter over Jaguars
36:58|The Packers defeated the Jaguars 30-27 on Sunday, in a game that saw Malik Willis take over for Jordan Love and lead the team on a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter. Tex Western breaks it all down in a solo show tonight, looking at Willis' one truly great throw, the running game stepping up when Love left the game, and how another key injury on defense (to safety Evan Williams) significantly hurt the pass defense. Meanwhile, Sunday provided plenty of schadenfreude for Packers fans, particularly in the Chicago Bears' gut-wrenching loss to the Washington Commanders, so listen in to enjoy some fun at the expense of our rivals to the south.Whiskey of the week: Buzzard's Roost toasted single barrel ryeThe UnPack: Best Man in the Building
54:25|Alex & Nick fawn over the fact that Robert Saleh was consulting at practice this week and discuss organization dynamics. Is it cool to work with your best friend? Plus, some thoughts on the Packers beating a good Texans team despite a "meh" performance, Jordan Love delivering on a buzzer-beating Degenerate Corner bet and whether Jacksonville is a trap game or a cake walk.Reporting As Eligible - Bourboncast 2024
01:50:36|Paul takes ALL your questions in the second annual, slightly echo-y Bourboncast. The Repack, Week 7: Packers beat Texans 24-22 on last-second FG
50:23|HEADS UP: We're sorry about the audio issues in today's pod, and we'll make sure that's fixed moving forward. In Week 7, the Green Bay Packers overcame three first half turnovers and defeated the Houston Texans 24-22, thanks in large part to unheralded players like Daniel Whelan and Eric Wilson. Those two guys deserve game balls for their performances, while Jordan Love managed to throw three touchdowns and lead the team down the field for a game-winning field goal from new arrival Brandon McManus with no time left. Join Tex Western and Justis Mosqueda to break it all down.Reporting as Eligible - Ben Sim-ping
01:05:21|On a new Reporting as Eligible, Paul and JR discuss the importance of Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs to the offense, whether the Doubs touchdown was brilliant or foolhardy, Jayden Reed versus Keisean Nixon, Javon Bullard versus Keisean Nixon, and the Kraft Tush PushThey also heaped praise on the rookie defenders! The speed of Edgerrin Cooper. The versatility of Javon Bullard. And of course the burgeoning star that is Evan Williams. Will Wisconsin start making Bourbon Old Fashioned instead? Only time will tell.Plus a discussion of reporting as eligible, a heartbreaking injury for the Lions, a new kicker of questionable moral worth, and of course, listener questions! The UnPack: RedBull gives you wins
47:27|Zach, Alex, and Nick break down the Green Bay Packers' thorough victory over the Arizona Cardinals, including a great performance by a new-look defense that's starting to really flesh itself out.
