Yulin is an LA-based award-winning screenwriter and director. She was born in Guangzhou, China and quickly uprooted first to the flat plains of Wichita, Kansas and then to various suburbs of New Jersey, where she wrote a lot of Harry Potter fanfiction and became obsessed with telling kissing stories. She is currently adapting and directing Emily Henry’s novel, Beach Read, for 20th Century. She previously also adapted Henry’s People We Meet On Vacation for Temple Hill and 3000 Pictures. Harriet is a Deputy Leader of the Women's Equality Party and an active member of the Camden Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Board. Her involvement in this board (established in 2022) came about in response to an inquiry led by the Camden Women's Forum to address VAWG in Camden. As a founder, Harriet operates independently as a Young Parent Consultant. She is a single parent to a daughter, a role that she views as both extraordinary and challenging. This unique aspect of her life further underscores her commitment to advocating for women's equality. She co-authored the Young Parents in London: Living with Precariousness report (2018) for Partnership for Young London and 4in10; a campaigning network of 400 London organisations working to improve the lives of the 4 in 10 children living in poverty in the capital. Yasmin is a chemical engineer, dedicated to developing renewable energy projects. Having worked in coal and gas fired power stations, oil and gas, district heating systems, and energy innovation, Yasmin transitioned away from fossil fuels into more sustainable energy systems over the course of her career. She has given over a hundred talks about engineering and energy, written for the BBC and Metro, featured in TV and radio programmes and completed a British Science Association Media Fellowship with the BBC's Science Unit. Kemi is a co-founder and creative director of The Cornrow, an Afrocentric home and lifestyle store which has featured in Elle Decoration, The Guardian, Telegraph, Red Magazine and Stylist. She is a collector of African and African diaspora stories and material treasures, working as a curator for the Museum of the Home on a Black Home installation. She has also collaborated with The National Trust and the Arts Fund on content regarding Black Homes, and has written articles on Afrocentric interior design for a range of magazines. Kemi, who is Black British with Jamaican and Nigerian heritage, traced her Caribbean ancestry to 1780, when her six times great grandmother Minerva survived the Middle Passage and arrived in Jamaica. Jennifer is Cosmopolitan UK’s multiple award-winning Features Editor, who specialises in writing about issues most important to young women. She is best known for her investigative reports – many of which have seen her go undercover, for example to meet the ‘landlords’ offering free rent in exchange for sex – and ground-breaking features, such as her recent deep dive into the rise in abusers suing their survivors for speaking out, known as the ‘Depp effect’. She also heads up the Body content on the Cosmopolitan UK website, which includes mental health, body image, nutrition, fitness, pregnancy and more, and regularly writes about her own thorny mental health journey and experience of mindful drinking, inspired by spending 15 months entirely sober. Her writing has been described as a "vital contribution to literature" by Huck Magazine and "courageous and arresting...a poet to watch" by the Independent. In 2022, Monika launched 'Feminist Invoicing', a poetry project and workshop series about power dynamics and what we're owed from systems of oppression.
