Arseblog Arsecast, The Arsenal Podcast
Episode 779 - The Ben White Experience
In this episode I'm joined first by Ryan Hunn to discuss Arsenal's 2-0 win over Luton on Wednesday evening. We chat about the changes Mikel Arteta made to his team, and some of the selection decisions – not least Emile Smith Rowe getting a rare start in midfield, and making a telling contribution to the result. We also discuss how the second half felt versus the reality of the game, some of the mainstays in team who helped support the players who came in, whether the left back position is one to keep an eye on in the summer, and more.
Then I chat to Elliot Smith from the ArsenalVision Podcast about their annual fundraiser for the Arsenal Foundation, including a clip from Leah Williamson, and info about how and what is being done to positive impact the lives of so many people through the prism of Arsenal.

You can do that here: https://arseblog.news/2025/05/arsenal-season-2024-25-player-ratings/Follow Lewis on BlueSky - https://bsky.app/profile/lgambrose.bsky.socialDownload the new Android app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.milkbarstudios.arseblogGet extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblogArsenal Women Arsecast 125: Champions of Europe

01:20:13|In this episode we look back at a busy weekend in London, starting with our live event at Union Chapel and Mikel Arteta's appearance at it, followed by analysis of our 1-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday. After a difficult first half in which David Raya saved our bacon more than once, Declan Rice's second half goal was enough for three points. We discuss the turnaround, the importance of winning for finishing in second place and ensuring Champions League football for next season, as well as the manager's post-game comments on the pitch and the message he was keen to send. Then we take listener questions about a big summer ahead in the transfer market and how up front the club have been about what they want to do, the need for greater rotation from Arteta next season, Kieran Tierney's Arsenal career after he made his final home appearance, and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblogBONUS! Lianne also talks about her affection for the club all these years later, her pride at seeing the quadruple winning team on the side of the Emirates and her hope that Arsenal can do it again in Lisbon against Barcelona.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog's award winning coverage of Arsenal Women by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog
