Arseblog Arsecast, The Arsenal Podcast
Episode 762 - Unproven
In this episode I'm joined by James Benge of CBS Sports, and we begin with the then breaking news that Mikel Arteta's FA charge for bringing the game into disrepute etc was found to be unproven. It means the manager can resume normal duties, and we chat about aspects of the process, and some wider thoughts on the refereeing discussion and the media's role. Attention then turns to the fact Arsenal topped their Champions League group while other English clubs did the exact opposite, Arteta and young players, Declan Rice at centre-back, Emile Smith Rowe at an interesting crossroads, and lots more.

01:32:42|In this episode we discuss the 1-1 draw with Everton on Saturday, starting with an atypical team selection from Mikel Arteta who obviously had the Champions League in mind when picking his starting XI. We discuss the first half, the goal we scored, a sloppy start to the second half and the penalty awarded to Everton. Was it more a referee error, or VAR? We chat about that, and how we still had plenty of time to find a winner but as has been the case more than once this season we failed to do so. We then answer listener questions about this season as a whole, defensive and attacking selections for the Real Madrid game, Jakub Kiwior, David Raya's penalty saving technique, and loads more.In April we'll be donating 100% of our Patreon revenue to four great charities, including the Arsenal Foundation, as well as supporting our friends at ArsenalVision Podcast as they launch their annual fundraiser - https://justgiving.com/page/avp2025Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblogEpisode 825 - Ian Wright

We start with the good stuff, in particular the goalscoring return for Bukayo Saka, and a really bright performance from Gabriel Martinelli. Then we discuss the injuries to Gabriel and Jurrien Timber, as well as pre-game news about Ben White, and where that leaves us going into the Real Madrid games.
