Gary's story goes from 0 to 100 real fast.Growing up in Perth, Gary was kicked out of school in year 9 and sent to ‘Shit Heads TAFE’ and was lead to an early life of theft at the age of 16.Injecting twice a day at 17, in maximum security prison by 18 and homeless at 22.Through his own admission, he feels the court system didn't deal with him as strong as it should have.This is a story of a long road to redemption. One that isn't over yet, because deep down, Gary knows he could slip backwards at any point.Going to jail or rehab is the easy bit. A special treat on todays episode... Mary's good mate Shane Webcke took time out of his insane schedule and made the trip to Dalby to sit down shoulder to shoulder with Mary.Most will know Shane as a Rugby League legend. Played for the Broncos, the Queensland SOO side, even represented Australia.He lost his dad in a workplace accident right when his rugby career was just getting started. You would think this might have been a massive influence on the way he played and the success he had in his playing career. Well thats not exactly how it goes.
