Japan surrendered shortly thereafter, drawing a close to the Second World War.</p><p><br></p><p>Those who survived the a-bombs are known as <em>hibakusha</em>, and Keiko - as a storyteller for the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation - is among the most prominent.
