He became homeless at 16, before studying trichology and developing natural hair and body products from his home in Dorset. At 22, Mark began supplying products to Anita Roddick’s newly founded Body Shop, eventually selling the intellectual rights to the products for £9 million. In 1995, he co-founded LUSH with his wife Mo and four others. Today, LUSH has more than 850 shops in over 50 countries, with sales of £804 million. Mark is also a passionate supporter of grassroots music and has produced five compilation albums featuring contemporary artists covering songs from different eras. His latest, <em>Best Day of All Time</em>, celebrates music from the noughties and features artists including Teddy Thompson, Beans on Toast and Eliza Carthy.
