Rex Hayes stars as Siobhan in the fourth season of the Emmy-winning Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, which sees the much-loved AFC Richmond story move into the world of women’s football. A Welsh actor trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Hayes brought genuine football experience to the role, having played the sport throughout childhood and into their teenage years. Rex’s other screen credits include BBC’s BAFTA winning bilingual series BANG, BBC’s The Pact, and FX’s The Bastard Executioner. Ted Lasso comes as a “breakout” screen role for Rex following an extremely successful run in the theatre world including To Kill A Mockingbird in the West End, Coram Boy at the Chichester Festival Theatre and Feral Monster at the National Theatre Wales. Rex is fluent in both English and Welsh.
