This week on the Play Haus, we're chatting to lighting designer extraordinaire, Jason Glenwright. Now, if you are a local Brisbane theatre person (like we are), you would have no doubt seen Jason's work on many professional shows! He's worked with companies all over Southeast Queensland and has oodles of advice to offer to lighting designers, creatives and other theatre appreciators alike.

Scene 28 unravels all there is to know about design. Fun fact! Lighting designers generally don't program the lights. We learn that lighting design is a creative role where your job is to translate the script onto the stage and make sure everyone can be seen in the process. Jason explains his process when given a new script and tells us some lessons he has learnt along the way. Did you know that Jason is also a big fan of shopping centres? You'll have to listen to this episode to find out why!

About Jason Glenwright:

Stay up to date with Jason's work via his website at https://www.jasonglenwright.com/.
