The aircraft began descending too early to reach <a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comodoro_Arturo_Merino_Ben%C3%ADtez_International_Airport\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Pudahuel Airport</a> and struck a mountain, shearing off both wings and the tail section.
