We are back! As you can tell we were a little bit rusty in the our life update but Season 12 kicks off with a really important conversation and something we have never really spoken about with our friends and family Organ Donation.
Donate a life week is from 23rd-30th July. Only 1 in 10 Australians are registered for organ donation even though 80% of Australians support organ donation. What is it like knowing you need an organ donation, being on the list and finally getting the life saving organ? We talk to Clare Beatson who has born with cystic fibrosis a double lung recipient on what the life has been like before, during and after her receiving a new set of lungs.
Currently there are over 1,800 people on the organ waitlist - peoples Mums, Dads, brothers, sisters, family and friends and one organ donor can save the lives of up to 7 people and change
the lives of many more.
