Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!
This week Pip is joined by the absolutely brilliant actor NIAMH ALGAR!
Niamh and Pip get straight into the whole actorial science pretty swiftly right here, from her place in the early stages of quarantine. What this all leads to is an incredibly useful toolbox for actors with gems from all sides of the camera including how to dismount emotionally after heavier scenes, the strangeness of being praised for reaching emotional places, on set therapy and the importance of decompression through the process (and how the days of distressing your cast as director are hopefully behind us), manipulation, Deceit, Raised By Wolves, Calm With Horses, Ridley Scott, Prano Bailey Bond, defending your character, process and craft, collaboration and just so much more. You’ll really enjoy this one whether you’re involved in acting or not… Have fun!
