A return mission from Gemma, as the last meeting was a good 9 years ago... Also \"necessary ray of light\", while a lovely sounding complement, doesn't actually inform you of what Gemma's up to at the moment or has been up to over those interveining 9 years, which is a huge amount! From the early years on radio right up to recent times, with a prolific range of projects and quests along the way, Gemma hasn't lost any sparkle or positivity, which is a rare thing in a world such as this. But as you can imagine, it does take energy an a psychic toll, and we hear about it in this awesome, inspiring episode. While there is a wealth of tangents born from her upcoming book release 'The Immortal Sisterhood', she and Pip cover a lot of ground including art and creativity and the class cross-section, patriarchy at large, motherhood (times two!), location, hwo and why love is just straight up better than hate, and altogether much too much to summarise in these notes.
