Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!
Ashley ‘Dotty’ Charles (aka Amplify Dot) joins Pip this week for a wonderful and in depth chat about the broad ranging topic of outrage. We all know what outrage is because invariably we’ve experienced it at some point in the very recent past or just in general in our internet / non-internet lives… It’s therefore fascinating to hear in more detail exactly what it is, how it is used, the mechanics of it and how we can use it more creatively and effectively. From the recent pandemic issues including Dominic Cummings and Boris, to racial frustrations and wider issues involving Katie Hopkins (now on her own Twitter lockdown), Piers Morgan and Trump. It’s not all about them though - this is an audio handbook on how we don’t just have to speak out all.the.time.at.the.same.volume… In fact, Ashley tells us why this actually backfires and lessens the overall effect in the long run. Anyway - too much to synopsise here, dig in a listen and enjoy, and remember - “outrage should be a disruption”.
