Unlike approaches like Myers Briggs these factors prove consistent over time and psychologists took a view that much of the variance of human personality can be understood using these factors. Interestingly these factors also prove predictive for other outcomes. Conscientiousness for example predicts academic success and job performance, neuroticism can predict mental health issues.</p><p><br></p><p>To discuss it I'm joined by <a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/in/nickmcclelland/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Nick McClelland</a>, Nick is the CEO of <a href=\"https://www.byrnedean.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Byrne Dean</a></p><p><br></p><p><a href=\"https://www.ft.com/content/5cd77ef0-b546-4105-8946-36db3f84dc43\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The original article by John Burn Murdoch</a> (<a href=\"https://archive.ph/RGuLB\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">archive version</a>)</p><p><a href=\"https://www.makeworkbetter.info/p/the-workforce-is-changing-can-culture\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Newsletter discussion on the data</a></p><p><a href=\"https://open.spotify.com/episode/7lX4ZBBcuqJbl5dI9j6kmP?si=p1dVjvI_RJWleyx8pXQU8A\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Discussion between John Burn Murdoch and Derek Thompson</a></p><p><a href=\"https://grimoiremanor.substack.com/p/no-conscientiousness-hasnt-collaped?r=un33&amp;utm_campaign=post&amp;utm_medium=web&amp;triedRedirect=true\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Christopher Ferguson questions the effect size</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jayvanbavel_no-conscientiousness-hasnt-collapsed-among-activity-7362152125352615937-BvjU/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Jay Van Bavel talks about the effect size of the data</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7359908391831367680/?commentUrn=urn%3Ali%3Acomment%3A%28activity%3A7359908391831367680%2C7360671008720105474%29&amp;replyUrn=urn%3Ali%3Acomment%3A%28activity%3A7359908391831367680%2C7360961112504217601%29&amp;dashCommentUrn=urn%3Ali%3Afsd_comment%3A%287360671008720105474%2Curn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7359908391831367680%29&amp;dashReplyUrn=urn%3Ali%3Afsd_comment%3A%287360961112504217601%2Curn%3Ali%3Aactivity%3A7359908391831367680%29\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Alex Haslam points out the questions that lead to the conscientiousness scores</a></p>","author_name":"brucedaisley.com"}
