Now over to Karl</p><p>.</p><p><strong>About Karl</strong></p><p>I would describe Karl as a domain expert in change management. Karl leads the EV and Emerging Technologies team at Austin Energy and is making significant progress in transitioning from fossil fuel dependency through a holistic transportation electrification strategy.</p><p>I was keen to speak to Karl and learn more about the hyper-local strategies he’s implementing to drive change and how these can be scaled to other cities and countries.</p><p>The urgency to decarbonize growing. The creator of the Global Green Economy Index, Jeremy Tamanini, told me recently that we face a climate paradox: while people, products, and policies are building momentum to address the climate crisis, GHG emissions, social equity, and environmental health worsen.</p><p>So gaining and sharing insights into the strategies and tactics employed by Karl and his team is an imperative that can’t be overstated.</p><p><strong>Social Links&nbsp;</strong></p><p><a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/in/karlpopham/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Karl’s Linkedin</a></p><p><strong>Links&nbsp;</strong></p><p><a href=\"https://ev.austinenergy.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">EV Buyers Guide</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.gm.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">General Motors&nbsp;</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/in/mary-barra\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Mary Barra&nbsp;</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.ford.com/f-150/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Ford F150&nbsp;</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.zappyride.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Zappy Ride&nbsp;</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.chargeway.net/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Chargeway&nbsp;</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.austinforum.org/november-2-2022.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Austin Forum For Technology&nbsp;</a></p><p><a href=\"https://www.austintexas.gov/article/city-austin-releases-smart-mobility-roadmap\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Smart Mobility Roadmap</a></p><p><a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Fadell\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Tony Fadell</a></p>","author_name":"Fabrica Collective"}
