His previous collaboration with Ritchie on&nbsp;<strong>The Man from U.N.C.L.E.&nbsp;</strong>was widely critically&nbsp;lauded for its bold writing and innovative arrangements earning him – alongside the features&nbsp;<strong>Steve Jobs&nbsp;</strong>and the Cannes Palm D’Or nominee&nbsp;<strong>Mal De Pierres&nbsp;</strong>– a&nbsp;nomination for&nbsp;Film Composer of the Year&nbsp;at the 2016 World Soundtrack Awards. He was&nbsp;previously&nbsp;honoured as&nbsp;Discovery of The Year&nbsp;at the World Soundtrack Awards in 2014 for his work on&nbsp;<strong>The Counselor&nbsp;</strong>as well as the features&nbsp;<strong>Blood</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>In Fear</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Cuban Fury</strong>.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Recent scores include the Richard Curtis-penned Danny Boyle-directed&nbsp;<strong>Yesterday</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse</strong>, Warner Bros’&nbsp;<strong>Ocean’s Eight</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance&nbsp;</strong>for Netflix.</p><p>Having worked in British&nbsp;television for over two&nbsp;decades on countless&nbsp;Emmy and BAFTA&nbsp;Award-winning dramas and documentaries&nbsp;(such as&nbsp;<strong>Peep Show</strong><em>,&nbsp;</em><strong>Complicit</strong><em>,&nbsp;</em><strong>Upstairs Downstairs</strong><em>,&nbsp;</em><strong>Dirk Gently</strong><em>,&nbsp;</em><strong>Prey</strong><em>,&nbsp;</em><strong>Space Dive</strong><em>,</em><strong>Occupation</strong><em>,&nbsp;</em><strong>Desperate Romantics&nbsp;</strong>and<em>&nbsp;</em><strong>Hiroshima</strong>) his big break into feature films came after Ridley Scott was so&nbsp;impressed with Daniel’s debut film score&nbsp;in 2011 for the period supernatural thriller&nbsp;<strong>The Awakening&nbsp;</strong>that he hired the him to score his feature&nbsp;<strong>The&nbsp;Counselor</strong>.
