Ireland is hosting the EU Presidency from July until December - and a lot of the conversation will be taken up by the Multiannual Financial Framework, the EU's Budget for the next eight years.
Based in Brussels, Emily Wigens leads the ONE Campaign’s advocacy and political lobbying across the European Union institutions to combat extreme poverty and preventable disease. She focuses heavily on the EU’s MFF budget negotiations, advocating against cuts to international development funds.
She sits down with Dóchas CEO Jane-Ann McKenna to discuss the importance of this process, and how Ireland can use the Presidency to keep Development on the agenda.
