In the NFL, the Carolina Panthers place right tackle Taylor Moton on the non-football injury list after he was diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung. Moton is responding well to treatment and is expected to play this season, although he will miss the beginning of the regular-season schedule. Cornerback Jaycee Horn also begins camp on the list after suffering a foot injury while training.
