Backstage Banter Episode 039
Welcome back to another week of Backstage Banter, where the music news gets weirder and our opinions get progressively worse.
This week, we're diving headfirst into the bizarre Kelly Clarkson $15 million bird controversy. Yep, you read that correctly. A Brooklyn boutique, a novelty bird that wasn't for sale, and suddenly a $15 million price tag? Who's in the right here, and how did we even get to this point?
We also kick off the ultimate Australian Music Civil War, putting some of Australia's biggest bands head-to-head in a brutal game of musical 'This or That'. Which Aussie bands deserve legendary status, and which could disappear from music history without anyone noticing? Brett's questionable game format makes things even more chaotic.
With Coachella 2027 rumours starting to heat up, we're throwing around some potential artists who could be appearing on next year's lineup. Who's likely to make the cut, and who's just wishful thinking?
Meanwhile, our quest to create the world's most annoying music festival continues. Perth is locked in, Bendigo is apparently close enough to Melbourne, and public transport? Absolutely not. It's already shaping up to be a logistical nightmare, and that's exactly the point.
