In this episode Pamela and Steven discuss how life has changed for Laila, one of our main characters in MEN? The Musical. After the wonderfully comic interview scene (remember episode 5 ‘Who hires a mother of 3’) Laila finally lands a position at Shadows Boutique. Its not the role she wished for - not exactly her dream job, so why is she so positive about this development? She has just finished the personal elevation event. This taught her to reflect on her current situation. She sees the role as an opportunity, a stepping stone to something bigger. We sometimes become so focused on the destination we overlook the opportunity right in front of us. Life doesn’t always take us along the road we planned. Here we discover Laila has gained her voice by surrendering to her situation.
