His debate partner was <a href=\"https://munkdebates.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=75554b61c4eceb407e7bc5ac0&amp;id=5a7be9354f&amp;e=8f0d945bdc\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Tzipi Livni</a>, who served as Israel's justice and foreign minister and the country's chief peace negotiator in 2008 and 2014. Arguing against the resolution was the celebrated historian, former Israeli ambassador to the United States and deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Office, <a href=\"https://munkdebates.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=75554b61c4eceb407e7bc5ac0&amp;id=84188b9afe&amp;e=8f0d945bdc\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Michael Oren</a>.
