Can we really buy our security? This episode is one I've wanted to have for a long time. Finally, it is here. Today, a dear friend of mine, Ivan Sellers, joins me from the countryside of Portugal, cushioned on his cozy back porch next to bright purple bougainvillea in bloom and autumn beginning to turn down the temperatures.
The fun part here is: I get to ask about the plot twist of Ivan's life, letting go of the tailored suits and big jobs with lots of money and European aristocracy.... To hear him let us in on where he is now, building a foundation, Terra Agora, to outlast him as it invites people to care for land rather than own it. It's a bold invitation. One that asks us to look at what "security" really means to us and if we are holding onto an ideal of security that may be blocking us from a life that is more true to who we are. A life that truly feels lived THROUGH us where security comes in all new forms, ones that can never be bought but are much more rooted than any real estate investment or insurance plan.
