When the Cowichan Nation V. Canada decision came down a year ago, there was panic right across the country. For many Canadians, the courts declaring that the Cowichan held Aboriginal title over a small section of Richmond was confusing, complex, even terrifying.
But Arno Kopecky says the Cowichan decision is not the end of the world in Richmond. In fact, it’s the beginning of something incredible.
