Then the biggest bank in America started throwing them out of customer accounts. Yelp said one in ten quote requests to contractors are already typed by the homeowner&#39;s robot — and will rent you a robot to answer them for $30 a month. And four in ten job applicants admitted they padded the résumé to get past the screening software. The robots got in line this week — at the bank, in the lead inbox, in the hiring pile. Same question in every line: who put it there, and where does a human still have to stand?</p><p><strong>In this episode:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Your bank just bounced the robot</strong> — Chase, Schwab and &quot;dozens&quot; of banks are finding customers&#39; own AI assistants inside accounts, because people handed over the password. Jamie Dimon: &quot;We&#39;re not going to allow just any outside agent to come inside the company.&quot; The one setting to have in your head: look, don&#39;t touch.</li><li><strong>Yelp&#39;s $30 robot answers the homeowner&#39;s robot</strong> — Yelp Assistant was behind about 10% of Request-a-Quote projects last quarter and can book straight onto ServiceTitan and Housecall Pro. Smart Lead Reply, rolling out in November, answers inside the quote thread with whatever&#39;s on your Yelp page. Cheapest robot on the show this year — and the catch most shops will skip.</li><li><strong>The hiring line is robots on both sides</strong> — Greenhouse surveyed 2,800+ job seekers: 77% used AI to job-hunt, 81% were rejected without speaking to anyone, and 40% added skills they don&#39;t have to beat the screener. The application is dead as a signal. The ten-minute phone call isn&#39;t.</li><li><strong>Spotlight: Homebase Hiring vs Breezy HR</strong> — two ways to sort the pile without losing the tech. Homebase puts a robot <em>in</em> the line (a voice interview the minute they apply; free Manual Mode, Hiring Assistant $99/mo annual). Breezy keeps the robot <em>beside</em> the line (it sorts, you talk; free for one opening, $157/mo for unlimited). Which one for which shop — and when to skip both.</li><li><strong>The Operator&#39;s Move (tool-free):</strong> <em>&quot;Write the three questions no résumé robot can fake.&quot;</em> Twenty minutes, a sheet of paper, and a two-day human-call rule.</li></ul><p><strong>🔗 Show Notes &amp; Sources</strong></p><p><strong>Story 1 — Banks vs. AI agents</strong></p><ul><li><a href=\"https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ai-agents-customer-bank-accounts-security/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">CBS News (Oct 23, 2026): AI agents are roaming around consumers&#39; bank accounts</a></li><li><a href=\"https://fortune.com/2026/10/15/jamie-dimon-ai-agents-meta-muse-jpmorgan/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Fortune (Oct 15, 2026): Dimon on the Q3 earnings call</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.tomshardware.com/tech-industry/cyber-security/us-banks-scramble-to-restrict-ai-agent-activity-agents-detected-accessing-customer-accounts-or-even-attempting-to-make-transactions-in-breach-of-policy\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Tom&#39;s Hardware (Oct 23, 2026): US banks scramble to restrict AI agent activity</a></li></ul><p><strong>Story 2 — Yelp Fall Product Release</strong></p><ul><li><a href=\"https://www.achrnews.com/articles/166873-yelp-launches-ai-powered-tools-for-service-contractors\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">ACHR News (Oct 20, 2026): Yelp launches AI-powered tools for service contractors</a></li><li><a href=\"https://ppc.land/yelp-charges-30-a-month-for-ai-agent-that-answers-and-qualifies-leads/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">PPC Land (Oct 21, 2026): Yelp charges $30 a month for AI agent that answers and qualifies leads</a></li><li><a href=\"https://smallbiztrends.com/yelp-launches-ai-powered-features-for-personalized-dining-and-service-updates/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Small Business Trends</a></li></ul><p><strong>Story 3 — Greenhouse 2026 Future of Hiring Candidate Report</strong></p><ul><li><a href=\"https://www.greenhouse.com/newsroom/6-in-10-job-seekers-are-rethinking-how-they-write-to-avoid-sounding-like-ai-even-as-most-use-it-in-their-search\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Greenhouse newsroom</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.hrdive.com/news/job-seekers-say-theyre-still-being-ghosted-even-as-theyre-trying-harder/833774/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">HR Dive (Oct 23, 2026): Job seekers say they&#39;re still being ghosted</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.forbes.com/sites/carolinecastrillon/2026/10/26/how-ai-is-complicating-the-hiring-process-for-job-seekers/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Forbes (Oct 26, 2026): How AI is complicating the hiring process for job seekers</a></li><li>More from the report (not aired): 48% took an AI interview this year; 70% of those said it let them show their skills; candidates were 2.7x more likely to take an AI interview than withdraw when no human was available; 88% want a legal requirement that employers disclose AI in interviews.</li></ul><p><strong>Spotlight — Homebase Hiring vs Breezy HR</strong></p><ul><li><a href=\"https://www.joinhomebase.com/hiring\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Homebase Hiring &amp; Hiring Assistant</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.joinhomebase.com/pricing\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Homebase — Pricing</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.financialcontent.com/article/bizwire-2026-10-20-homebase-launches-homebase-assistant-supercharging-hourly-teams-across-main-street-america\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Homebase Assistant launch</a></li><li><a href=\"https://breezy.hr/pricing\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Breezy HR pricing</a></li><li>Prices checked Oct 30, 2026.
