Abbie is joined by friend of the show Harri James discuss the use of Amy Acton’s childhood sexual abuse in a political ad during Ohio’s governor’s race. Drawing on Harry’s own experience as a survivor, they examine the harm caused when trauma is turned into campaign ammunition, the hypocrisy in the reaction from Republicans to the backlash, and the barriers misogynistic abuse creates for women in public life.
