Her creative practice is rooted in her studies in psychology—both Jungian and Gestalt Theory. Exploring the limits of desire, memory and ancestral forms of transmission, Naldi creates multimedia installations, which integrate sculpture, moving image, sound, collective action, poetry and the oratorial. Together, we weave through and across a journey that takes listeners via portals of memory, music, and time. First, as Levin and Omar begin to play with the artist’s “transitional objects”— they activate questions of musical history, queer movement, concealed knowledge and the situated site of the body. With Naldi Rossano, they conjure ancestors—from the ocean and the poets—from London’s waterways through to Etel Adnan.
