But CCTV footage and inconsistencies in his statement raised suspicions.</p><p><br></p><p>On June 16, 2025, a woman’s body was found in the Kharkhoda canal in Sonipat — throat slit and stabbed multiple times. Tattoos confirmed it was Sheetal. By June 17, police arrested Sunil after he confessed to the crime.
