Nailah’s career spans producing, executive producing and production management, taking projects from development right through to delivery across narrative, branded and commercial work. Her journey began with the first music promo she ever produced for Pixie Lott, before going on to work on projects including Soma Surf - Surfing The Odds. One of the most impactful projects of her career was the short film Sinking.
A powerful story about a young woman torn between fear and love while experiencing mental and physical abuse from her partner in an isolated rural home. The experience had a lasting impact on Nailah and changed the way she approached producing.
Most recently, she worked on Behind The Mic for the new Harry Potter audiobook, adding another incredible project to an already diverse and ever-growing slate. In this episode of The Art of The Graft, we talk about Nailah’s journey, the projects that have shaped her, the lessons she’s learned along the way and her commitment to constantly growing as a producer. It’s been an absolute joy getting to know Nailah, and I’m so excited to finally have her on the show.
