📌 EPISODE SUMMARY
In this episode, host Kenny Price expands on George Swinnock's warning about spiritual compromise by exploring Charles Spurgeon’s profound insights on 1 Corinthians 1:30. We examine how intellectual pride often sneaks into modern American Christianity under the guise of "maturity," "authenticity," and modern progress.
When core biblical terms like grace, freedom, love, and even GOSPEL are redefined and unmoored from Scripture, believers risk replacing the simple power of the Cross with human philosophy. Discover how to guard your heart, recognize modern redefinitions, and stand firm in the unshakable, simple gospel of Jesus Christ.
🔑 KEY TAKEAWAYS & HIGHLIGHTS
🔄 The Age-Old Pattern: What looks like modern "spiritual growth" is often just ancient heresy (like 1st-century Gnosticism or 18th-century German Neology) dressed up in 2026 cultural language.
🎭 Dressed-Up Deception: False teaching rarely announces itself as rebellion; it usually borrows the Church's vocabulary while subtly draining those words of their biblical authority.
🌾 Chaff vs. Wheat: Worldly philosophies and human intellectualism are mere chaff compared to the pure, unadulterated Word of God.
⚓ True Soul Rest: No amount of intellectual sophistication can replace the peace found in the plain truth that "Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners."
🛡️ Guarding Your Faith: Learn to test every teaching against Scripture—no matter how famous, articulate, or well-liked the speaker might be.
