⚡ WAVE #6 — When Technology Won’t Slow Down
In Episode 71 of Jesus Company, Kenny Price tackles Wave #6 in our countdown of the ten major stressors pressing in on adults today: the accelerating pace of technology, artificial intelligence, and the uncertainty it creates around our work and future.
💻 Technology can change an industry almost overnight. AI can reshape a job description before you’ve had time to adjust. And when your sense of security is tied to what you do for a living, rapid change can leave you wondering: Where do I fit? What happens next?
📊 National research points to significant concern about technology disruption, automation, and career uncertainty. But this isn’t simply a workplace problem. It can become a spiritual problem when the speed of change gets our eyes off the One who never changes.
🙏 This episode is also a prayer alert for the Church—for workers, families, young people entering an uncertain job market, and anyone living with the quiet fear that their future could be rewritten by technology.
👀 Hebrews tells us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. Not on the economy. Not on the next technological revolution. Not on our ability to stay ahead of the curve.
🪨 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8 (CSB)
🌊 Psalm 46 reminds us that even when the earth trembles and the mountains shake, God remains our refuge and strength.
