📖 Hebrews 12:18–24 (CSB)
The writer of Hebrews presents us with two mountains.
⛰️ Mount Sinai — the mountain that could be touched.
A mountain of fire, darkness, thunder, and trembling.
The place where God's holiness was revealed and humanity was reminded of the overwhelming seriousness of sin.
⛰️ Mount Zion — the heavenly mountain.
The place where the writer says believers have already come.
Not someday.
Not merely in the future.
But now.
The language of Hebrews is not a travel itinerary.
It is an address.
The question is not simply, \"Where are we going?\"
The deeper question is:
\"Where do we stand?\"
