We discuss the reversal and its implications with <a href=\"http://www.naacpldf.org/janai-nelson\">Janai Nelson</a> of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. She was one of the lawyers in the strange position of <a href=\"http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/jurisprudence/2017/02/a_federal_judge_looks_poised_to_fight_jeff_sessions_doj_in_texas_voting.html\">arguing the cas</a>e in court this week, the day after the DOJ reversed course. </p><p>We also sit down with <a href=\"https://law.stanford.edu/directory/jeffrey-l-fisher/\">Jeffrey Fisher</a>, who argued an important immigration-related case at the Supreme Court his week. <a href=\"https://www.oyez.org/cases/2016/16-54\"><em>Esquivel-Quintana v. Sessions</em></a> asks whether a legal immigrant can be deported for something that counts as a serious crime in some states, but not others.
