We meet some amazing people doing this series, none more so than the legendary Nicky Broujos. Admittedly, I know nothing about Irish football, but I know that Nicky is a complete gent. He’s kind, funny and super welcoming. He’s generous with his storytelling today, even though he says he doesn’t do a lot of chatting these days due to complications from his cancer treatment affecting his speech.
Nicky was a goalkeeper for teams like Bray Wanderers, Sligo Rovers and Cliftonville across the 80s and 90s and has so many stories from that time but what really catches my attention today though is the incredible youthwork he did alongside football.
