I don’t think Ciara would mind if I called her a tech nerd, I think she’d take it as I mean it, as one of the biggest compliments going. She’s the kind of person who needs to know how things work, and she’ll teach herself everything she can to find out. That’s how she found herself in the role of Tech Manager, Projectionist and pretty much an all round cinema buff in both the Irish and Canadian film industries.
Her take on what makes a good screening is beautifully analog and considered and she utterly cherishes the dying art of a good cinema experience.
