The album version leads us to an April 1970 BBC performance that is radically different, longer and absolutely ferocious.

DIGRESSION ZONE

During that BBC performance, Chaz catches Dave Greenslade playing a keyboard idea that would later surface in “Those About to Die.”

So naturally we jump ahead 24 years to the 1994 reunion performance of “Those About to Die” at Zelt-Musik-Festival to hear it again — and end up marveling at a band still playing like their lives depended on it.

There’s also the small matter of Chaz once hijacking a wedding with this very recording.

YOUR PRESCRIPTION

Two accidentally skipped tracks. Two killer live performances. One musical idea traveling through Colosseum history.

Blame the brain fart.

Or the T.P. Aliens.

The Blade of Judgment remains sheathed.

The Doctor is in.
","author_name":"Chaz Charles and Dr. Porifera Glund"}
