For those who are joining the podcast for the first time, they offer a natural place to begin. For those who have been practising for some time, they are an opportunity to return to the foundations and refresh the simplicity of the practice.

We begin by gently taking our seat and allowing the body to settle into posture. The spine lengthens, the body softens, and the intention becomes very simple: to sit, to breathe, and to be present.

Attention then moves to the breath. We notice how we are breathing, the coolness of the air as it enters, and the subtle movement of breath through the body. With imagination, we allow the breath to expand as if every pore of the body were breathing.

Finally we check in with ourselves in this moment, meeting whatever is present with honesty and gentleness before returning to the room with a quiet smile.

This daily meditation offers a moment of calm, whether you are pausing during the day or winding down before sleep, helping you return to the simplicity of breath, posture and awareness.

Chapters

00:00 – Welcome back

00:30 – Why we recover the form

01:45 – Finding a stable posture

02:00 – Sitting into position gently

03:00 – Lengthening the spine

04:15 – Sitting simply to sit

05:00 – Noticing the breath

06:30 – The coolness of the breath

07:30 – Breathing through the whole body

08:00 – Imagining the breath as vapour

09:15 – Checking in with yourself

12:20 – Returning to the room

12:40 – Closing bell

","author_name":"Cutdown Studios"}
