The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is back, and the hosts lay out where they think the season lands. They expect Mary Cosby to sit at the emotional center of the group following the death of her son, Robert Jr., and they talk carefully about what it means to watch a cast close ranks around a grieving castmate on camera. Elle calls Heather Gay \"messy boots\" and predicts Heather keeps friction alive between Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks and the rest of the room. Potomac carries the rest of the hour. Karen Huger is back after time away, and Elle and Kimberly ask whether the Grande Dame title still describes the woman who returns. Robyn Dixon's return brings up commentary made on the Reasonably Shady podcast about Vicki Gunvalson at the Ultimate Girls Trip event, and the hosts break down why Vicki's discomfort read so clearly on screen and why the backlash followed. Gizelle Bryant's particular brand of messiness gets a fair hearing too, and the hosts explain why it keeps working.
Along the way the conversation turns personal. Elle and Kimberly talk about faith, ancestry and genealogy, Kimberly's own experience converting to Mormonism, and what it is like to move through Salt Lake City as a Black woman. Those stretches are the reason this show calls itself analyst first.
