Burnham’s new government has announced a £2 cap on single bus fares across England from January. The PM also said that he is pausing plans to release prisoners early, he's also been asked if he intends to change the tax free personal allowance where he said he is not making an immediate commitment, but it could be considered at the Budget. Burnham also refused to commit to his new chancellor’s demand to increase defence spending to 3%of GDP by 2030 and rejected his plans for war bonds.
