In May of 2024 a petition from an RMIT alumni appeared online, asking the library to bring back the historical fashion journals that had been removed from one of the libraries and put into storage.</p><p><br></p><p>This sparked off a conversation between the library and staff in the School of Fashion and Textiles about why print is still so valued today. In a world where online resources are so prolific, what is it about print that's still relevant, and how is it different to digital resources in the teaching and research space? In this episode, we speak with Dr Alexandra Sherlock, a teacher and researcher in the School of Fashion and Textiles, about her thoughts on the topic of print versus online, and a whole lot more.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Music</strong>&nbsp;</p><p><a href=\"https://aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ffreemusicarchive.org%2Fmusic%2FAsk%2520Again%2Fwhere-we-wait-melodic-atmosphere%2FBreathing_Out_1636%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7Cpeter.clarke2%40rmit.edu.au%7C24dbfa8c469440cb655f08de17683223%7Cd1323671cdbe4417b4d4bdb24b51316b%7C0%7C0%7C638973933450310619%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=ahZWIwAuI%2FRmMCiwejk7jq%2Fw1qvDOAxj0eRWktHtA8k%3D&amp;reserved=0\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><u>\"Breathing Out\"</u></a> by <a href=\"https://aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ffreemusicarchive.org%2Fmusic%2FAsk%2520Again%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7Cpeter.clarke2%40rmit.edu.au%7C24dbfa8c469440cb655f08de17683223%7Cd1323671cdbe4417b4d4bdb24b51316b%7C0%7C0%7C638973933450334256%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=J3A%2BrKyhrULzsHFrLya2ImhZi1r6oxi8mpVPxwEbuBQ%3D&amp;reserved=0\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><u>Mid-Air Machine</u></a> is licensed under <a href=\"https://aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcreativecommons.org%2Flicenses%2Fby-sa%2F4.0%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7Cpeter.clarke2%40rmit.edu.au%7C24dbfa8c469440cb655f08de17683223%7Cd1323671cdbe4417b4d4bdb24b51316b%7C0%7C0%7C638973933450357318%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=VjQ5spOnfAvEMFEusZnfSfidCnhlatseOA8xw4%2BevQg%3D&amp;reserved=0\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><u>CC BY-SA 4.0</u></a>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Credits</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Guest: <a href=\"https://www.rmit.edu.au/profiles/p/alexandra-sherlock\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Dr Alexandra Sherlock</a>&nbsp;</p><p>Host: Michelle Matheson&nbsp;</p>","author_name":"RMIT University"}
