There are missing bodies of dead adolescents... well, technically there are just bits missing, but who are we to quibble over a limb or two? Buffy and gang must work out what someone would want with the... parts... and then find who is behind said nefarious plot. At which point they will... errr... wait a while until the plot is ready for the baddies to be confronted. Sure.
