I hope that you are all keeping well?</p><p><br></p><p>In this third instalment of our first run of the podcast, I speak to my good friend Shane Speed, also known as Sea of Days.</p><p><br></p><p>For those of you familiar <em>Homer's Podyssey</em>, (as well as the <em>Bridge Brothers </em>shows), you will already know Shane's music with tracks such as <em>City Shroud</em>, <em>Darkness</em> and <em>Duality </em>all featuring in these productions. If this is your first time listening to one of my podcasts, you are in for an absolute treat and I am confident that you will be adding Sea of Days to your playlists and record collections very soon!</p><p><br></p><p>A bit of background...</p><p><br></p><p>After some early experiences in bands and a solo project under his own name, 2022 was the year that Shane went into the recording studio and re-emerged as Sea of Days with his beautiful album <a href=\"https://seaofdays.bandcamp.com/album/adrift\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Adrift</em></a>.&nbsp;2023 then saw the release of the <a href=\"https://seaofdays.bandcamp.com/album/elements-water\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Water</em></a> EP, the first of a collection of short albums which explore themes inspired by the four elements. Shane’s creative ascent continued after this with the release of his acclaimed album <a href=\"https://seaofdays.bandcamp.com/album/wound-2\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Wound</em></a> and his radio show <a href=\"https://eardrumbuzzradio.podbean.com\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Seasons Change</em></a>.</p><p><br></p><p>In fact, since we recorded this episode back in December 2025, Shane has released <a href=\"https://seaofdays.bandcamp.com/album/traces-2\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Traces</em></a>, another fantastic LP, which we did talk about in this interview.</p><p><br></p><p>Amongst the subjects covered in this interview, Shane and I discussed his ongoing support for other artists, (including me), his life-long passion for music, his creative processes as well as the incredible opportunities that opened up for him after \"sending one email\" to the owner of a radio station in the US.
