On that spring evening, he broke into her home, placed photos of her recently deceased brother on the loungeroom floor and set them on fire. And then he watched the home burn from the town lookout. She, her partner and her dog were asleep. They never had a chance. He bought chocolate and flowers to comfort her family. Police refused to charge him until her family rattled their cage. Her name is Kate Amber Reeve. She was only 22. Kate was killed just two months after her beloved little brother Jacob died by suicide. The impact of losing their daughter and son has left an indelible mark on mum Robyn and dad Mick. They tell us about Kate's love for life and her family and friends, her dreams and ambitions, the failures in the legal system and how they navigate the never-ending path of grief, anger and frustration.
