We look at his attacks on the CFMEU, his decision to lower land tax on the rich, and his reactionary law and order reforms that build on Jacinta Allan’s adult time for adult crime laws. We look at what sort of policies could actually help disadvantaged communities and address the root cause of crime, including public housing, investment into education, and other social justice causes. We then look at the proposal to cap toll and transport costs, which hands hundreds of millions to private providers and fails to address cost of living crisis. Our alternative - free, publicly owned roads and transport for all!</p><p><br></p><p><strong>News</strong></p><p><u><a href=\"https://redflag.org.au/article/palestine-supporters-guilty-once-again-declares-murdoch-press/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Palestine supporters guilty once again, declares Murdoch press</a></u> </p><p><u><a href=\"https://www.theguardian.com/environment/ng-interactive/2026/oct/22/finland-google-felling-trees-datacentre\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">‘Pure arrogance’: anger in Finland as Google illegally fells 250,000 trees for datacentre | The Guardian</a></u></p><p><u><a href=\"https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckm23y3mg1yyo\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Brazil election: Lula wins fourth term in dramatic comeback over Bolsonaro</a></u> </p><p><u><a href=\"https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c574pvy82k0mo\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">How a movement of students brought down Serbia&#39;s Vučić</a></u></p><p><u><a href=\"https://youtu.be/jcsmyiJCqsU?si=98nrSsjk-GfESPYL&amp;t=272\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">‘Jordan, Lebanon &amp; Syria are ours’: why young Israelis are voting more far right | The View From</a></u></p><p><u><a href=\"https://www.theage.com.au/world/middle-east/it-is-ours-the-far-right-israeli-settlers-who-want-to-build-homes-in-gaza-20261026-p618bk.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">‘It is ours’: The far-right Israeli settlers who want to build homes in Gaza</a></u> </p><p><u><a href=\"https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2026/oct/21/public-tenants-in-private-homes-fear-eviction-subsidised-housing-australia-ntwnfb?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">When Victorian pensioner Gail secured housing, it was the ‘best day’ of her life. We hope to bring a radical perspective to a podcast landscape dominated by insipid liberalism (looking at you, The Daily) or Labor apologism (@friendlyjordies). While a lot of what’s going on in the world is fairly bleak, The Party Line will try and highlight voices of resistance and struggle.</p><p><br></p><p>If you like what you hear, please rate, subscribe and share with your friends, colleagues and comrades.
